This week’s class was a lively one! Since the lentil soup required lots of chopping veggies, everyone got to practice their knife skills.

Benjamin Lamboy was excited to chop the onions until they had their burning effects on his eyes. He declared he’lll never utter that word again, referring to them only as the “O” word, which led to a happy chorus of OOOO! The class loved measuring the dry ingredients for the corn muffins (especially using the back of a knife to level off the flour) and filling the muffin pan. Bits of flour on each of their faces says it all!

Most of the class enjoyed the soup, but they all loved the corn muffins. Again, we commend them for trying new things! Bravo to all of our cooks this week – London Cooke, Hannah Henriquez, Olivia Hidalgo and Benjamin Lamboy.
