The students realized the importance of planning and coordinating as we had to consider time needed to marinate the chicken, soak the sweet potatoes, and bake both in the oven.

While waiting for the oven timer to sound, they set and decorated our dinner table to reflect the fall season. The sweet potato fries were a hit. As for the roasted chicken, the other students agreed with Jakhira Cryer-White when she said, “I like my chicken crispy, but this is good, moist chicken.” It was a nice alternative to the usual fried version of the dish.
