The big question this week: how would the chefs like mushrooms? They were eager to find out.
Before preparing the zucchini “fries,” we learned how to separate an egg! Volunteer Chris Hoyler demonstrated, then Milanni Miles gave it a try. Our chefs cut the zucchini, mixed the breading and then dunked the fries to coat them.
The fries sat while we chopped the other veggies. Both Milanni and Laura shared in chopping duties: Laura took the pepper , and Milanni the onion. Both girls also chopped the Portobello mushrooms. Laura sauteed all the vegetables while Milanni set the table. Milanni enjoyed the mushrooms, and while both liked the zucchini fries, they still think potato fries are better.
