This was the first experience with salmon for two of our student chefs. Quinoa and cooking in a foil packet was new for everyone. The students realized that this meal was easy to prepare – just a few ingredients and minimal work. Waiting for the salmon to bake took longer than the prep so we were able to clean up and set the table while we waited. We decided this was a good dinner meal if you needed to get other things done at home. Those who sat down already liking salmon, really liked this meal. Raelynn Williams-Savage said, “This meal is perfect. Everyone is in one place.” Those who never tried salmon, however, were not converted. According to Kayla Bradford, “No, I dislike it.” All agreed the quinoa could have used a little something to spruce it up, but were happy to have tried it.
