Our first cooking class at St. Cecilia’s was a success! The kids were amazing! They were very engaged and interested in learning how to cook.
Each child participated in every step of the recipe, even including crying from chopping the onions!
Our class ran a bit long, so although we were all seated ready to eat together, some of the children had to take their food home, since their parents were there to pick them up. We’ll be more cognizant of the time next week.
Here are a few of the comments the children wrote in their books.
“I loved this class so much. I’m glad my mom signed me up” (Zanai Wilson).
“I liked today’s class because it was really fun and I got to do some cool things” (London Cooke).
“I am so happy that I learned something new” (Olivia Hidalgo).
“It was fun to grind the cheese” (Benjamin Lamboy).
“Liked getting to chop things up, setting the table, having fun, and how to crack eggs” (Hannah Henriques).
