The five students were very excited to begin cooking classes and jumped right in.
They learned about safety in the kitchen and the difference between slicing and dicing and how to saute. They ate all the frittatas so none of them went home with them. Anthaney Pearson exclaimed “this was so much fun!”
Present for our first class: Aynessa Muldrow, Anthany Pearson, Serenity Igalls, Elijah Strong, Kayden Rosario
Our students were excited to receive their chef hats and aprons. I believe it set the tone for the session as everyone willingly participated in the chopping onions, cheese and julienne the basil.
All but one student loved the mini Frittatas and there were no leftovers. Kayden embrace the three bite rule and decided that he did not like the taste; however, he smiled anyway with a sense of achievement.
