This recipe was a huge hit and one student remarked it was the best recipe we’ve made so far. We started off by showing our class a map with Morocco labeled so they could see the origins of the recipe (many incorrectly thought Morocco was in South America). They were all very excited by all the spice options in the ingredient list. When we introduced the recipe, three students immediately cried that they “didn’t eat squash”, but after everything was combined and cooked the popularity was unanimous and everyone cleared their bowls. One student aptly described it as “stupendously delectable.”

One of our students was also eager to share with us that she shared her knife skills at home with her mom, demonstrating how to hold her hand like a bear claw so she doesn’t get cut.
