We had a wonderful first week with our students! They were all enthusiastic participants. Seamus ate avocado for the first time and polished off a whole plate of it. Lilyana said ” I learned how to clean a pepper’s seeds out. It was really fun and joyful to cook with my friends.” Jaelynn cut an onion for the first time, and Alondra tasted red pepper for the first time. “It was sweet but a little spicy.” Everyone agreed that the burrito was delicious and that they would cook it at home in the future.
