It was an exciting night for students and guests with turkey lettuce wraps and blackberry hand pies on our family dinner menu. The students worked with precision to tackle the recipes, clean up, and prepare for parents, grandparents, and siblings, along with Principal Cohen and Vice Principal Cronin.

After seating the guests at the festively-decorated table. Orlando Zayas described how the turkey lettuce wraps were made. Everyone enjoyed the crunch of the lettuce and the little kick of spice in the turkey meat. The hand pies, of course, were the stars of the show. Orlando Zayas’ mother Jeannette Johnson, who happens to be a pastry chef, said “I’m very proud of my son.” She said he helps her on some of her baking projects at home. Vice Principal Veronica Cronin summed up the evening stating, “The food was delicious and the presentation was very nice.” It was an evening to remember.
