We had another fun week that included trying new foods (the salmon cakes) and a fan favorite (the sweet potatoes).
Aidan won the day’s perseverance award for finding a way to open the canned salmon even after our can opener broke!
Almost everyone enjoys chopping onions, even though it caused the usual tears, especially for Nelania, who needed to step away. The girls really enjoyed shaping the cakes (they chose to wear plastic gloves), and the cakes baked up nicely in our convection oven.
Miss Julie, a trained nurse, reminded us to keep most of the potato skin on (except the dark spots) to get the most nutrients.
And once again, the reviews were in the millions and billions for how tasty the food turned out – at least the potato wedges. The girls, Lily and Nelania, also liked the salmon cakes, but Nelson was not convinced.
