This week, our 5th graders kicked off My Family Kitchen with a fun, hands-on lesson where students learned to make yogurt parfaits with homemade granola. The excitement in the room was contagious as they made their very own fruit and yogurt parfaits.

One student said, “I loved the savory and sweet combination,” capturing the joy of discovering new flavors and textures. Another shared, “This is fun, I can’t wait for next week!” — a testament to how much they’re enjoying the cooking experience. For many, the granola was a revelation: “I never knew you could make homemade granola,” one student chimed in.
