Students’ decidedly positive reaction to Week 2’s recipes prove that healthy can be delicious!

Everyone enjoyed a second helping of the turkey slider and pickled cucumbers were “tasty”. As cooking got underway, students discovered the importance of developing the skill of reading and following a recipe. They also found mis en place to be time saving and efficient. New skills introduced were: sautéing, marinating, dicing and measuring ingredients and spices. The group’s enthusiastic participation in week 2’s class suggests the upcoming weeks will be full of learning and growth and healthy, delicious eating.
