Grants

A grantmaking public charity, SCFC provides responsive and proactive funding to children’s health programs in North Philadelphia. SCFC also manages and distributes dollars from nearly thirty donor-designated funds.  Over the last three years, SCFC has awarded over $1 million annually to organizations and programs devoted to advancing positive health outcomes for North Philadelphia children.

Community Grantmaking

SCFC invests in non-profit organizations operating children’s health programs in the North Philadelphia community surrounding St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. SCFC’s community grantmaking priorities include funding for preventative services targeted to children aged 0 to 13, especially those that improve health through physical activity and healthy eating.

The grant application deadline for Spring 2010 has passed, please check back in August 2010 for updates.

Temporarily Restricted Fund Grantmaking

SCFC maintains and makes grants from approximately thirty temporarily restricted funds earmarked by generous donors to specific areas of interest. SCFC accepts Temporarily Restricted Fund applications from invited individuals only.
