Each year, Philly’s own MANNA – a non-profit dedicated to providing nutrition to people in the region with life-threatening illnesses – hosts its nutrition forum and awards honoring leaders in the industry who are truly making a difference.

This year’s Nourish Awards & Health Symposium takes place Sept. 26 (8 a.m. – 11 a.m.) at the College of Physicians (19 S. 22nd St.) in Philadelphia.

At this year’s event, MANNA will honor three champions in the health care and nutrition fields, including the Center for Urban Health Policy & Research, Campbell’s Soup Foundation and Steveanna Wynn from SHARE Food Program, an SCFC Farm to Families partner organization.

Immediately following the Nourish Awards, MANNA’s Health Symposium will focus on “Nourishment and Health Care Reform, Your Voice, Your Vote.” The informative session not only provides an integral educational and networking opportunity for anyone involved with and/or interested in health care in the Delaware Valley, but also creates an important dialogue about the changing state of health care in America today.
